Ivy Growth Index (IGI)

IvyDesk's internal readiness and evidence index — a way to see growth over time, not an accreditation, award, eligibility decision or guarantee.

The Ivy Growth Index is IvyDesk’s own way of showing a school its readiness and evidence over time. It is an internal measure inside Academic Excellence — not an accreditation, not a government award, not an eligibility decision, and not a promise about any outcome.

Five levels

Presentation vocabulary. The thresholds behind them are calibrated with pilot evidence, not invented on a page.

  1. SeedThe required evidence foundation is incomplete.
  2. SproutAn improvement process is established.
  3. Growing (illustrated level)Measurable progress is documented.
  4. ThrivingStrong evidence exists across all essential domains.
  5. Gold LeafThe highest internally verified readiness level, confirmed by an authorized person.

Readiness domains (illustration)

Roots, trunk, branches and leaves of the Ivy Tree, in words.

  • EstablishedEvidence foundations and data quality

Goals carry baselines, sources and dates.

  • EstablishedGovernance and sustained improvement

Cycles are reviewed and signed by leadership.

  • PartialReadiness domains

Two of four domains hold current evidence.

  • PartialVerified evidence and completed actions

One support follow-up is still open.

Hard gates, reported separately

A weighted average can never hide a failed gate.

Not metEvidence freshness

One measurement is older than the freshness window, so the top level is unreachable however the domains score.

MetProvenance and cohort-size rules

Every figure shown names its source and its coverage.

Illustration only. IGI thresholds are not yet calibrated with pilot evidence, no real index has been computed for any school, and a weighted average can never hide a failed hard gate.
What Gold Leaf would mean, and what it would not
The top level requires every hard gate to pass, no unresolved evidence-integrity gap, fresh and complete evidence, every essential domain meeting its own minimum, and an authorized person confirming the package. It reads “IvyDesk Verified Readiness” and never “accredited”, “approved” or “guaranteed”.
